October 2017 Windstorm ^{Emergency Services}

The powerful fall storm brought heavy rain and strong, damaging winds to several New England states. Over 400,000 lost power in Maine within a few hours, a number which surpassed the 1998 ice storm. E.S. Boulos crews were placed on standby beforehand and responded rapidly to Central Maine Power’s call for assistance after the winds died down. Over the next ten days, E.S. Boulos line crews encountered a variety of damaged electrical infrastructure and helped restore power safely and efficiently.
